Our Care Team
In addition to our great staff of veterinarians, we have an exceptional Care Team who will aid in your pet’s treatment.
Inventory Coordinator & Veterinary Assistant
Jestine has been with Lake Animal Hospital since 2000. She received her Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology at Globe College and worked at Hillcrest Animal Hospital and at Caribou Coffee prior to joining our team.
Jestine grew up in St. Paul and has always loved animals. She started with a goldfish and worked her way up to a loving Pitbull named Sadie. She now has a pampered Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Miley, otherwise known by her nickname the “Pretty Princess.” Jestine manages our inventory and is our pet food and product specialist. She also enjoys working hands on with pets that have ear and skin issues.
Jestine lives in Vadnais Heights with Miley and her husband Cayle. She is very active with Minnesota Cavalier King Charles Spaniel clubs and is our go-to person for all things Cavalier. She also enjoys reading and spending time with family, friends and, of course, Miley.
Office Manager & Client Service Coordinator
Like many White Bear Lake natives, Leslie has lived elsewhere, but she came home to raise her family. After moving back to White Bear Lake, she chose to combine her passions for pets and Client Care. She began her Veterinary career at Banfield, and came to Lake Animal Hospital in 2010. She loves the fact that the clinic is less than two miles from her home!
Leslie loves little dogs and interacting with our clients. She enjoys the business and service end of Veterinary Medicine. She has an AA from Cottey College and attended the University of Minnesota. She also has Supervisory and Administrative Certificates from Century College and a Veterinary Assistant Certificate from Minneapolis Community College.
Leslie has two dogs, Sofi, a Yorkipoo with OCD and Beckett, an epileptic Bichonpoo with seven teeth. She also has two cats, Jax, a black shorthair who is beautiful to look at but bad to the bone, and Macie, a sweet medium hair dilute calico. Before joining Lake Animal Hospital, Kassie was a hairstylist for 10 years. Sometimes we just need a change. So Kassie decided to pursue a career that would allow her to express her love of animals by completing the Veterinary Assistance program with Animal Behavior College in 2014. Her favorite part of the job is watching animals get better and having the knowledge that you were a part of it. She has become a very vital and flexible part of our team.
Kassie grew up on a dairy farm in Central Minnesota. Her house is currently pet-free, but she likes to say that she still has 12 horses and 2 dogs; they just live with her parents. In her free time Kassie loves reading, camping and trail riding. She feels that the most peaceful place on earth is on the back of a horse.
